Springs man arrested after running into jousting ring at the Renaissance Festival, tries to steal sword

 

LARKSPUR, CO – A Colorado Springs man is jailed on several charges after drunkenly running into a jousting ring at the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur, and trying to steal a performer’s sword.

22-year-old Connor Ward was reportedly drunk during Saturday’s incident.

Ward’s friend held him down until authorities arrived.

He also tried, but failed, to assault an officer. No one was hurt.

Ward is charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and theft.
