Fatal accident on I-25 shuts down lanes of traffic Monday night

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – One person is dead and two others are injured after a rollover crash on I-25 Monday evening.

State troopers say an SUV veered into a median, and then hit a guardrail causing the vehicle to roll, between North Gate and Interquest..

The driver, 24-year-old Armando Escobar of Colorado Springs, and the front passenger, 27-year-old Terence Barker, were wearing seat belts and sustained minor injuries. A back seat passenger, 20-year-old Marissa Ramirez of Georgia, was not restrained and was thrown from the vehicle. She died at the scene.

The cause of the wreck is being investigated.
