CANON CITY, CO – A Colorado Springs man jumped 956 feet to his death off the Royal Gorge Bridge.

The body of 26-year-old Jordan Loriss was recovered Saturday.  After 18 days in the water, his remains were spotted by a passenger on the Royal Gorge train, in fast moving water, about 30 feet from the banks of the Arkansas River.

Several people saw Loriss jump from the bridge on April 6th.  An initial search for his body was unsuccessful.
