Body of Colorado Springs man who jumped from Royal Gorge Bridge recovered

CANON CITY, CO – A Colorado Springs man jumped 956 feet to his death off the Royal Gorge Bridge.

The body of 26-year-old Jordan Loriss was recovered Saturday.  After 18 days in the water, his remains were spotted by a passenger on the Royal Gorge train, in fast moving water, about 30 feet from the banks of the Arkansas River.

Several people saw Loriss jump from the bridge on April 6^th.  An initial search for his body was unsuccessful.
