COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Colorado Springs Airport will launch a non-stop flight to Orlando, Florida starting in October.

The flights will start on October 30.

Frontier is offering special introductory rates as low at $79 round-trip, but you have to grab those tickets Wednesday. You can get them here.

The Orlando flight was announced early Wednesday morning while officials celebrated the first non-stop Frontier flight from the Colorado Springs Airport to Phoenix, Arizona.

“We are thrilled about Frontier’s new Phoenix service today highlighted by the strong success of their new Vegas flight. We couldn’t be happier about the announced Orlando service as well,” said Colorado Springs Mayor John Suthers in a press release. “Frontier’s recent growth at COS is a strong indicator of existing demand for air service in Southern Colorado. The City of Colorado Springs has been, and will continue to aggressively seek, new air service to meet this demand. We are so pleased that Frontier has again chosen to be our partner in that effort.”

Airport officials say they have seen a 5% increase in fliers this years thanks to more airline tenants and the increase in cheaper fairs being offered.

“The Colorado Springs community has supported us tremendously since we first announced non-stops to Las Vegas this past winter,” said Barry Biffle, president and CEO of Frontier. “The Las Vegas flight has performed so well that we’ve decided to add these new cities to our Colorado Springs network.”

On Wednesday, Frontier Airline’s first non-stop flight to Phoenix from the Colorado Springs Airport will take off.
