COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Electric and gas rates are headed back up for Colorado Springs Utilities customers.

Tuesday, Colorado Springs City Council approved a 4.3 percent hike for residential electric rates, effective August 1st, and a 10 percent increase in gas rates.

The cost adjustment effectively brings utility rates for residential customers back to the level before rates were reduced in January.
