COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Lights! Camera! Action! Colorado Springs is turning into Hollywood as Jana Fonda and Robert Redford make their way to town to begin filming the Netflix movie “Our Souls at Night,” based off Kent Haruf’s novel of the same name.

Several historic homes in Old Colorado City are being converted into movie sets and on Monday crews will be in town getting started.

Fonda and Redford are expected to be in town, but if you are hoping to catch a glimpse of the pair in action security will be in place to keep people back. Road closures are also expected around Pikes Peak and 12th but the exact time of those closures is unknown.

Colorado Springs is not the only place crews will be filming. On September 17th, they will settle into Florence, according to City Manager Mike Patterson.

“They actually turned down bigger incentives that they could have gotten from Utah or New Mexico,” Patterson told News5 in August. “Colorado gives them incentives too but not as big as those two states but they wanted to go for authenticity, it was written by a Salida author. It was about a fictitious town in Colorado named Holt, Colorado.”

The movie will premier on Netflix sometime in 2017.
