FORT CARSON, CO – Former President George W. Bush will appear at a Fort Carson job fair for Army troops who are leaving the service.
The Fort Carson Transition Summit runs today and Wednesday at the Iron Horse Physical Fitness Center and William “Bill” Reed Special Events Center.
It features workshops for troops seeking civilian jobs, and representatives of more than 100 companies offering positions.
Mr. Bush and Dakota Meyer, a Medal of Honor recipient, will speak at the event tomorrow.
The former president has focused on helping veterans succeed in civilian life. Meyer is a Marine veteran honored for his service in Afghanistan.
