Colorado Springs received a $35,000 grant to complete the “Legacy Loop”

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Springs has just received a $35,000 grant to complete the “Legacy Loop”, which runs about 10 miles from Pikes Peak Greenway to Shooks Run Trail and to Rock Island Corridor.

The funds will be used to complete the trail head by I-25, as well as adding about 100 parking spots and a picnic area.

The grant was provided by Rails-To-Trails Conservancy.

The project should be completed by next fall.
