CANON CITY, CO – Still no definitive proof that a body found in the Arkansas River last week is that of a missing Colorado Springs man.
An autopsy by the Fremont County coroner was inconclusive, although it’s believed to be the body of 31 year old Eric Ashby.
He fell out of a raft in June while reportedly searching for treasure.
If dental records cannot be obtained, a DNA test will be conducted, a process that could take months.
