COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The first stage of the Colorado Classic Bicycle Race is in the books.
Elite cyclists raced in Colorado Springs Thursday.
John Murphy won the men’s race, and Jenn Valente of Colorado Springs took the top spot in the women’s competition.
Many businesses in Old Colorado City saw fewer customers because of the race and all the road closures.
But closer to the downtown finish line, it was a different story.
The next stage is today in Breckenridge.
