COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – Colorado Springs’ city government is beginning the process of determining its budget for 2018.

City department heads began outlining their priorities Monday during a public meeting with the Colorado Springs City Council.

Much of the talk surrounded the 2A ballot question to reinstate a monthly stormwater fee and pull stormwater projects out of the city’s general fund.

The chiefs of the city police and fire departments say any proposal to hire new employees will have to wait until after the municipal election next month.
