Some Colorado fire agencies are heading west to California to help get a handle on several wildfires.

Security, Monument, West Metro, Castle Rock, Elk Creek and South Arkansas Fire Departments are among the many sending trucks and personnel to assist in fighting at least four fires ravaging southern California.

The largest blaze is burning in Ventura County and has scorched over 65-thousand acres.

Nearly 30-thousand people have been forced to evacuate.

The Colorado Springs-based “Global Supertanker” is also in California helping out.
