COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The city of Colorado Springs is reopening a residential rehabilitation grant program for very low income households.
The program helps with affordable housing by lowering costs for maintaining homes, improving energy efficiency and allowing senior residents to remain in their homes.
The program was in danger of being discontinued; however, the city has contracted with a housing non-profit organization, Brothers Redevelopment, which is federally funded with $500,000 in grant money from the US Department of Housing and Redevelopment.
