Thousands of claims have rolled into insurers from the massive hailstorm Monday.
Unreserved rental cars are unavailable, and glass, roof and vehicle repair businesses are flooded with calls.
USAA received 8,000 claims for damage to homes and vehicles Tuesday, twice as many as from the June 13th hailstorm that hit Fountain.
We’re still waiting for numbers from other top insurers. Those should be available next week.
It is likely that most insurance customers will see a rate increase as insurers struggle to make payments.
