El Paso Homeless Recommendations Report Out

The annual report that makes recommendations to city and county agencies was released on Monday.

The Pikes Peak Continuum of Care, a coalition to coordinate service agencies, addressed homelessness in El Paso County.

The report recommends an increase in shelter beds, increased outreach to homeless families with children and developing more affordable housing.

The continuum is represented by 17 care agencies who supply shelter; food; job programs and health care to people in El Paso County who are homeless.

They say that by improving care services they are systematically ending homelessness in El Paso County.
