200 plus Fort Carson troops along with planners from US Northern Command at Peterson Air Force Base are going to the US-Mexico border, joining thousands of troops to protect the southern border.
The order comes from the President to counter thousands of people marching through Mexico from Central America, hoping to seek freedom in the United States.
Some reports indicate troop levels going to the border to support US Immigration officials, could reach above 10,000.
