Medical Marijuana Users and Firearms Bill Rejected

A proposal that would allow Colorado Medical Marijuana users to own and carry firearms was rejected Wednesday.

The bill died along party lines in a senate committee.

It was intended to protect anyone with concealed carry permit from losing it if they were licensed to use medical marijuana.

It also would have kept anyone from automatically being denied a concealed carry permit solely because they use medical marijuana.

Supporters vow to try again next year.
