The 50th Space Wing at Schriever Air Force Base held a change of Command Ceremony Monday morning.
Colonel James Smith returns to Schriever to assume command of the wing from Colonel Jennifer Grant who is headed to the Pentagon.
Smith was previously the US Air Force Commander at Menwith Hill Base in the United Kingdom.
Smith will be responsible for the operation and support of more than 185 satellites and a workforce of more than 7,000 military, civilians and contractors.
