The speed limit will be reduced through the I-25 gap project starting Friday afternoon.
It’s dropping from 65 to 60 miles an hour, and will stay that way for at least a couple of years.
The goal of the construction includes adding an express lane, bridge improvements, wildlife crossings, and widening shoulders.
The project is expected to be fully completed by 2022.
