Funding problems has Palmer Lake’s Board of Trustees considering whether to close the Palmer Lake Fire Department.
The department does not have the resources to build a new station or do all of the things they need to do operationally.
If the closure is approved, the Tri-Lakes Monument Fire Department would respond to emergency calls.
A meeting on the topic will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. at Palmer Lake Town Hall.
