The City of Colorado Springs and the Colorado Springs Police Department have put out a statement about the release of body camera footage from the officer-involved shooting on 19 year old De’von Bailey.
Bailey was killed earlier this month after allegedly reaching for a gun.
The El Paso County Sheriff’s office expects to conclude their investigation by the end of the week, and turn the matter over to the district attorney’s office.
Springs police anticipate releasing the body camera footage, but will only do so when it will not jeopardize the investigative or judicial process.
