John Williams Declared Incompetent to Stand Trial Again

A man who suffered a stroke after being accused of murdering his girlfriend is still not competent to stand trial in Fremont County.

The judge in the case of John Williams announced Wednesday that doctors had again declared Williams incompetent.

Williams was accused of the murder of Rebecca Magallanes after part of her body was found in Custer County in 2009.

A year later, her skull was found in Teller County.

Williams suffered a stroke and is unable to speak, and doctors say he cannot understand the legal issues surrounding his case.
