The Colorado Springs city council will let a developer build over a thousand new homes on a parcel of land in the northeast area of the city

COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – The Colorado Springs city council will let a developer build over a thousand new homes on a parcel of land in the northeast area of the city.

The council voted Tuesday to approve the third part of a development being built by Oakwood Homes in the Banning Lewis Ranch area.

The move would allow the company to build more than 2,000 homes on the 284-acre parcel, though plans only call for about 1,100 houses.
