Group Wants to Increase Colorado Springs City Council Pay

A group that wants to see Colorado Springs City Council members paid full-time salaries is trying to determine if there is enough support for the idea to put it to a vote.

The group held an event Saturday to gauge support to raise council member pay from its current $6250 a year.

They say council members work 40 to 80 hours a week on city issues and deserve to be better compensated for those efforts.
