Amazon Purchases 69 Acres Near Colorado Springs Airport

Amazon purchased 69 acres of land near the Colorado Springs Airport and the company plans to build a 4 million square foot distribution and sorting center.

Colorado Springs officials are extremely happy with the new fulfillment center coming to the city.

City economic development manager Bob Cope says Amazon will create plenty of jobs in the Pikes Peak region.

Contractors began site preparation work weeks ago, with construction expected to begin next month.
