Manitou Incline may charge user fee

The city of Manitou Springs is considering a paid reservation system for use of the Manitou Incline. It’s closed at the moment because of the Coronavirus. City officials suggest a paid system would help manage crowding on the incline,  and parking woes on Ruxton Avenue. The money would be used to help maintain the incline, and the reservation system could help manage how many people use the incline in a single day, to fall in line with social distancing guidelines. Incline users could be charged several dollars to use the attraction, and avid climbers could purchase a season pass.
