Colorado Springs police have served a summons to 24 year old Christopher Rogers, a former employee of the El Paso County Sheriffs office. Rogers is accused of 3rd degree assault and 1st degree official misconduct. The charges stem from an incident back in May when Rogers allegedly assaulted an inmate at the El Paso County Jail. Another department employee intervened and reported the incident. Rogers was placed on leave. Monday he was fired by the El Paso County Sheriffs department.
