City council considers mask ordinance

Colorado Springs City Council held a work session Monday and the main topic discussed was masks. Should the city order residents to wear them? The concern is the increase of Covid-19 cases in El Paso county.  Business leaders are worried if cases continue to climb many shops and restaurants will have to close again. City Council wants to hear from health officials and look at changes to penalties before making any final decisions. On KVOR’s twitter feed our poll question asks should Colorado Springs pass a law requiring everyone to wear masks when outside or going into a business? At the moment 2/3rds of respondents say no.
