CASCADE – The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office is confirming that a homicide investigation is underway on Highway 24 near Cascade. The Sheriff’s office says they were originally contacted to perform a welfare check when they discovered a woman’s body. The highway was closed in both directions earlier Friday morning.
All lanes of Highway 24 have since re-opened.
