COLORADO SPRINGS – A group of about 100-protesters took to the streets of Colorado Springs Sunday afternoon. They held signs and chanted for “Justice for Breonna Taylor,” after a Grand Jury declined to file charges against three officers in her death. One officer was charged with “Wanton Endangerment” after investigators determined his gunshots ended up going into another apartment. Taylor was shot and killed by Louisville, Kentucky police officers on March 13th. Her boyfriend says he thought the officers were intruders and he fired his weapon in response. Taylor was shot several times and died in the hallway of her apartment building.

The protest started at about 3:00 p.m. at City Hall and they made their way to the El Paso County Courthouse and then the Police Operations Center. CSPD eventually declared the protest as unlawful after protesters started blocking traffic in the area.
