PUEBLO – Pueblo police hope the release of surveillance video will lead them to a suspect or suspects in the vandalism of the Christopher Columbus statue on Abriendo Avenue at about 9:00 p.m. Saturday night.
The statue was doused in red paint and tomatoes. The fire department used a hose to remove some of the paint and a cleaning crew did the rest. According to Mayor Nick Gradisar, there is no permanent damage. there is no permanent damage.
