COLORADO –  Colorado residents impacted by covid-19 are now protected against eviction. Governor Jared Polis signed the executive order Wednesday following the CDC’s national eviction moratorium. According to Executive Order D 227, landlords cannot file or initiate evictions if the tenant can prove financial hardship due to COVID-19. Although the order is set to expire in a month, a news release from the governor’s office states Polis is “committed keeping the Executive Orders in place until December 31st, 2020.”
