Stauch found competent

Tuesday Morning an El Paso County Judge announced Leticia Stauch is competent to stand trial in the death of her 11 year old stepson Gannon Stauch. A competency exam in September revealed Stauch was competent to stand trial. Her lawyer asked for another exam from a different doctor. Tuesday’s announcement means her trial will move forward. Leticia Stauch is charged with first degree murder and child abuse resulting in death. Gannon disappeared in January of 2020. Leticia said her stepson was last seen walking to a friends house. His remains were found in Florida two months later. Leticia Stauch will be back in court for a preliminary hearing March 11th.
