EL PASO COUNTY – Jury deliberations start Thursday morning for 23-year old Marco Garcia-Bravo, who’s charged with the murders of 16-year old Natalie Partida and 15-year old Derek Greer, during a gang killing in March of 2017.

The two Coronado high school students were taken out to old pueblo road south of Fountain and shot execution-style off the shoulder of the road. Garcia-Bravo is accused of serving as the driver and one of the two people who pulled the trigger killing the teens. He’s the last of 10-people to be prosecuted in the case. He faces life in prison without parole.

Accounts differ slightly, but on the night of March 11th, Greer and Partida were picked up by the suspects and driven around the city before the shooting. According to a confession by Gustavo Marquez, he drove them out to Old Pueblo Road where Diego Chacon fired two shots at Partida. He then handed the gun to Marco Garcia-Bravo, who shot Greer several times. In several of the documents, the suspects said Greer was only shot because he was with Partida at the time.

Other guilty pleas entered in this case:

Joseph Rodriguez pled guilty to kidnapping, dropping the first-degree murder charges.

Gustavo Marquez pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree murder..

Angelita Prado pleaded guilty to kidnapping. She’ll serve four years in prison.
