Woodland Park Mayor loses his battle with Covid-19

WOODLAND PARK – Sad news was announced by Woodland Park on Tuesday. Mayor Val Carr has been battling Covid-19 for about two months and he lost the fight on Tuesday. City Council members are meeting on Thursday night. Meanwhile, Mayor Pro Tem Hillary Lebarre is handling the responsibilities.

Mayor Carr was elected last April and had previously served multiple terms on the city council. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the mayor’s family is asking for donations to be made to the Teller Senior Coalition or Teller County Regional Animal Shelter.
