Eleven people suffer adverse reactions to the Johnson and Johnson vaccine in Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY –Centura Health is pausing its Covid-19 mass vaccination site at Dicks Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City after 11 people had adverse reactions to the Johnson and Johnson vaccine. Out of the eleven two people were taken to the hospital for observation out of an abundance of caution. Patients were experiencing symptoms including nausea and dizziness. Centura Health senior vice president and chief clinical officer Dr. Shauna Gulley says they are pausing temporarily for the investigation. And she doesn’t recommend anyone cancel their vaccination appointment but rather look into getting the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine instead.
