Peterson and Schriever Air Force Bases along with Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Station are undergoing name changes beginning Monday July 26th. The bases will be renamed Peterson Space Force Base, Schriever Space Force Base and Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station. Air Force officials are making the change saying it better reflects their roles in the Space Force, the nation’s newest military branch. A ceremony begins at 1130 Monday morning July 26th at Schriever with General John Raymond, U-S Space Force Chief of Operations and Colonel Zachary Warakomski, the Peterson Schriever Garrison Commander.
