Good news for the Colorado Springs Airport. In June just under 100 thousand people flew out of the Springs airport, which is a 13 year high. Numbers for the month of July are expected to be even better according to airport officials. Several factors are at play, including more people travelling after receiving covid 19 vaccination shots, and having Southwest Airlines now servicing the airport. In June the 5 airlines that fly out of Colorado Springs sold more than 77 percent of their available seats.
