A standoff in Colorado Springs late Wednesday night. A man identified as 28 year old Christian Cortez was upset after a warrant was issued for his arrest for sexual assault of a child under the age of 15 by one in a position of trust. Cortez had called a help line, spoke with springs firefighters at the scene, but wouldn’t accept help and retreated into a home near Hancock and Milton Proby. Police were called and surrounded the home. Cortez eventually tried to drive away and hit 4 police cars. Police were able to finally arrest him. He is facing numerous charges.
