Springs Daycare Owner found guilty of misdemeanor child abuse

COLORADO SPRINGS — The trial for a Colorado Springs woman accused of running an unlicensed childcare facility has concluded. Carla Faith was found guilty on 26 counts of misdemeanor child abuse, attempting to influence a public servant, and running an unlicensed daycare facility. In November of 2019, authorities found 26 children hidden behind a false wall in the basement of faith’s home and daycare center called Play Mountain Place. Christina Swauger, one of Faith’s employees, was also found guilty on 26 counts of misdemeanor child abuse and attempting to influence a public servant. Faith and Swauger will be sentenced on October 21st.
