State covid numbers up

In a weekly update on covid cases in the state the Colorado Department of Health and Environment says case numbers continue to rise. As of Monday afternoon, 1012 people were hospitalized with covid statewide. That number is up by more than a hundred from a week prior. New cases have also increased, and in 51 of Colorado’s 64 counties the positivity rate is above 5%. Officials had hoped case numbers would slowly drop after seeing them plateau the last several weeks, but that has not been the case.
