Colorado Springs Utilities will be laying new water pipeline beginning Monday. The work will begin on Cresta Road south of Cheyenne Mountain High School. Officials say the new pipeline will enhance system reliability. Cresta will be closed south of Cheyenne Mountain High School to La Veta way for the next two weeks. There will be other partial road closures on Cresta Road in the coming weeks. Local traffic will have access to homes, but other traffic will be detoured to 8th street.
