Driver Faces DUI Charge after CSP Crash

One driver is facing DUI charges after a crash with a Colorado State Patrol motorcycle and tow truck early this morning. Troopers say the bike and tow truck were at the scene of an earlier crash on I-25 south of Baptist Road, when a pick-up truck came driving right at them. The truck smashed into both vehicles, causing a fire and enough damage to require a second tow truck. The trooper and tow-truck driver were not near the vehicles at the time and were not hurt. Troopers say the pick-up driver was taken to the hospital before being placed in custody. A passenger in the pick-up was seriously hurt, although they are expected to recover.
