Happy Birthday Colorado! It’s the 146th anniversary of the day the Centennial State became part of the Union. Special events are happening across the state today to mark the event. Whatever you feel like doing — indoors or outdoors — there are options for residents. Multiple events are going on in the Pikes Peak Region, at places like the Colorado Pioneer’s Museum. It’s free to visit any of the Colorado State Parks today. It’s become a tradition for Colorado Parks and Wildlife to offer free admission on “Colorado Day” – which was created in 1907. Rangers say people will still have to pay for camping spots and fishing licenses are still required. The History Colorado Center in Denver is offering a free celebration today, including arts and crafts, live music, and animals. Other museums are offering free admission as well — including the Center for Colorado Women’s History and the Trinidad History Museums. You can find a complete list of ways to get out and celebrate by checking out this website.
