Springs Police say that a house fire from last week is now under investigation – as a possible arson case. This happened on Wednesday, in a home near Powers and Union. Firefighters were able to quickly put the fire out after arriving, and only the one home was damaged. Neighbors say if people in the community hadn’t reacted quickly, it could’ve affected the whole area. Some reported the sounds of a blast. Fire crews believe that the flames started outside the house. One person was charged with obstructing a peace officer the night of the fire, but it’s unclear if that’s connected.
