Five people were killed, and 25 others injured, Saturday night when a gunman walked into the LGBTQ nightclub, Club Q, and opened fire. Springs Police were on scene three minutes after receiving the first call. Springs Police Chief Adrian Vasquez says two clubgoers managed to disarm the suspect and hold them. Springs Police have identified the suspect as 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich. Two weapons were recovered at the scene, including a long rifle. Police were asked Sunday morning if this was a hate crime. Authorities say it’s too soon in the investigation to determine a motive. There are reports of an incident one year earlier involving a bomb threat in the Lorson Ranch neighborhood. A woman called deputies saying her son threatened to hurt her with a homemade bomb. The son was identified as Anderson Lee Aldrich, age 21. He was arrested by deputies. No word on if this suspect is the same person arrested by police in the Club Q Shooting.
