Universal Preschool: Sign Up ASAP

Officials with the state’s Universal Preschool Program say that parents should sign up their children for universal preschool as soon as possible. The application period is not ending, but educators warn that some preschools are approaching max capacity. Records show that approximately 20,000 applications have already been submitted, and more than 60,000 Colorado children are eligible. Dawn Odean, the state’s preschool program director, says some areas may not have as many preschool options as others. The online application allows parents to choose their top five preschools. For parents to get their top choice, experts say they should apply before February 14th .
