CDHS Offers a 14k signing bonus for nursing positions at the state’s two psychiatric hospitals

COLORADO-Colorado Department of Human Services is offering a 14-thousand dollar signing bonus for nursing positions at the state’s psychiatric hospitals in Denver and Pueblo. According to Mercer Research, the United States is facing a serious nursing shortage, and the demand for mental health nurses is increasing. Officials say, Colorado—along with 38 other states—is a part of the nursing licensure compact. This means nurses are free to practice in participating states without having to get an additional license. Officials say along with the 14-thousand dollar signing bonus, nursing recruits will receive generous state benefits and a retirement plan.
