COLORADO SPRINGS-A fugitive is behind bars after an incident Tuesday. Police caught up with 39-year-old Lawrence Johnson on Chapel Lane West of I-25 near Woodmen. He was in his car when officers made contact with him, and despite several verbal commands, Johnson attempted to escape. According to CSPD, less lethal tools were used to take him into custody, including a K-9. Police say Johnson is now facing additional charges.
