Stauch: Jury Selection Could Take Weeks

Letecia Stauch

Continuing our coverage of the trial of Letecia Stauch, legal experts say jury selection in her case could take two weeks, and the trial itself could last at least six weeks. Jury selection began yesterday, and will continue this morning. The case has experienced a number of delays tied to both the COVID pandemic, and Stauch’s pleading not guilty by reason of insanity. She has undergone a number of mental health evaluations, two of which found her competent to stand trial. Stauch is the woman accused of killing her young stepson, Gannon. The 11-year-old was reported missing three years ago, later that year Gannon’s remains were found in Florida. Stauch was arrested in South Carolina.
